This is a clip of me on the 2003 set of Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. I m the surgery room attendant putting the smock on Kal Penn (Kumar Patel)as he and John Cho (Harold Lee) are mistaken for real doctors by a male nurse (Ryan Reynolds) after they disguise themselves at a hospital in order to steal some medical pot. For those who are interested the hospital used was Humber River on Keele Street in Toronto. 2003 was the year of the SARS outbreak and Humber was the only hospital in TO not have an outbreak.

Today I am posting a .jpg that I captured from the movie "Cinderella Man" in which as I mentioned in an earlier post I was an extra on for an extended time. I'm the reporter 2nd from the bell man, next to the guy in the straw hat. I had the clip but it's too short.

Sorry, The quality is a little fuzzy. This is the best I could do using a screen capturing free program. I spent 38 days on set from April to August 2004 as a reporter roasting in Toronto's Maple Leaf Gardens. I'm third from the left.

In a previous post I mentioned that I had the fortunate pleasure of being on the set of "The West Wing" when they came up to Canada to do a shoot. They shot this scene in a hockey arena in Ancaster, Ontario during December of 2004. Ancaster is a suberb of Hamilton. Here is the clip from The West Wing season 6 episode 15.

Back in 2003-2004 I had the opportunity to work a fair bit on the FOX series "Wonderfalls". The series was never given a chance by the big wigs. They kept it out of the important January sweeps weeks, in fear of the show being called a "Joan of Arcadia" rip off? Anyway, a little tweaking here and there and what the public saw was only three episodes of a series about a girl working in a gift shop who heard an assortment of souveniers talking to her. What the viewers missed was the quirky humour that you needed a full season to mature. I'm glad up here in Canada the Vision Channel "saw" Fox's err and ran the complete 18 episode series, giving this series its due.

Back on November 1, 2004 I did a MOW(Made For TV) film about a small town being attacked by genetically altered yellow jackets. The movie was called "Swarmed" and was shot in Dundas, Ontario a subburb of Hamilton. Interestingly enough the town in the film was called Dundas. Here is screen caps that I'm in from the movie.

It's not much, but I am in the movie. Extreme top left in blue, carrying the gunny sack. This scene was filmed on a cold day in December 2004.

Here's a brand new clip and a pair of screen captures from a holiday offering called "A Recipe For A Perfect Christmas" starring Christine Baranski and Carly Pope, in which I appear as a waiter. The MOW was shot in Toronto back in September for the Lifetime Network in the U.S.

Back in December of 2003 I spent a day on a Discovery Channel production entitled, Blueprint for Disaster: Kings Cross. The documentary type show outlined the horrific effents of November 1987, in which a fire at the London Underground's King's Cross Station killed 31 people in only a few seconds; investigators spent months trying to explain the fire's unusual pattern, which they determine was started by a smoker's match. I played a commuter and I finally managed to grab a few screen caps.

In August of 2002 I worked a couple of nights on the MOW "The Man Who Saved Christmas"(2002) starring Sienfelds Jason Alexander as the creator of the "Errector Set". The small toy maker wages war against a gun maker and the U.S Government to stop their plan to cancel Christmas. Here is a screen capture and a clip from the movie. I am dead centre at the back, the one not clapping.

Back in September 2003 I worked four days in Hamilton on a film entitled St.Ralph(2004) Actually set in Hamilton in 1954, Saint Ralph is the unlikely story of Ralph Walker, a ninth grader who outran everyone's expectations except his own in his bold quest to win the Boston Marathon. Ralph is a fatherless 14-year-old with a seriously ill mother, who knows he's a time bomb waiting to explode into greatness, except that he has no idea where that greatness will manifest itself. An unfortunate incident of self-abuse in the community pool inadvertently sets him on this road when, as penance, Ralph is conscripted to the cross-country team. Desperate to believe a miracle will bring his mother out of a coma, Ralph becomes a convert to the church of running, and determines to win the Boston Marathon(IMDB). The movie starred Adam Butcher as Ralph and included Campbell Scott as Father George Hibbert, the incredibly talented Gordon Pinsent as Father Fitzpatrick as well as Jennifer Tilly as Nurse Alice.

Here are a couple screen caps and a clip of me watching Ralph round the bend, turning in on at the Boston Marathon. This scene was shot around a beautiful Anglican Church in downtown Hamilton.

In June of 2005 I spent six days in Toronto on the set of Richard Donner's "Sixteen Blocks". In the film Bruce Willis plays Jack Mosley, a burnt-out detective assigned the unenviable task of transporting a fast-talking convict (Mos Def) from jail to a courthouse 16 blocks away. However, along the way he learns that the man is supposed to testify against Mosley's colleagues, and the entire NYPD wants him dead. Mosley must choose between loyalty to his colleagues and protecting the witness, and never has such a short distance seemed so long.

It was a hot summer and the police uniforms where a bit uncomfortable, but it was all worth it. Mos Def turned out not to a stero -typical all attitude rap star. On the contrary he was friendly to the point of once even taking a tray of cookies from the crew craft table and walking around with them and offering them to the background. That was the most tasty state cookie I have ever had. Here is a couple of screen captures with me in it from the movie. I'm the cop with the stripes at the rear of the shot.
